This weekend I took part In the Opening round of the Crowthorne club championship. This series covers most of the south of England- Kent, Essex, Sussex ,Surrey etc
The first round took place at the Brilliant "Radical Bikes" at Barrow Farm In Chelmsford. This was the first time I had ridden my bike since the Pre championship round held at hook woods 1 month ago, due to having work commitments with my new Job ( 12 hour shifts 6 days a week don't agree with me!)Because of this I wasn't expecting too much to happen, I was both nervous and relaxed because of my lack of practice. I knew my riding would not be 100% so I felt there was no pressure on me.
The competition turned out to be relatively easy; however each section still had 1 tough part that you really had to think about. I was very happy with my riding and thought I was on good form. I did have a silly 5 caused by a slight bike malfunction, this ended up with me laying over a concrete pipe! With this my first lap score was 6, I followed this up with 2 other laps of 1 and 0. At the end of the day this put me in second, 2 points behind the Winner Steve-O.
I feel as though a win was on the cards, but I'm still very happy with my riding and result, It's a good start to the year.

Last weekend I competed In my first competition of 2012. It was a pre championship round run by the Crowthorne club at Hook Woods. Conditions were good, a few muddy and slippery spots but nothing too bad, good conditions to start the year. We had 3 laps of 6 well mixed sections. It took me a little while to shake off the cobwebs and get into competition mode but I had a good relaxed ride, my riding was consistent and Improved a lot each lap. I had laps of 7,2 and 0. Finishing on 9 in total, It's always nice to get a clean lap. Jack Meek finished 2nd on 41 and Conner Manthorpe 3rd on 63.
There was a hill climb at the end of the competition. You were marked on how far you made it up the hill and as soon as you put a foot down that is where you finished. I managed to make it to the end of the "1" section of the climb, only 2 or 3 moves from making it out ( I rushed and made a silly mistake) No other rider made it this far, the next closest riders only managed to reach the "3" section - Fun end to the day

My Bike!
I thought it was about time I put some pictures up of my current bike and set up. The bike is now 7/8 months old so cosmetically it isn’t perfect (yes I know it needs a clean!) but everything on it still works 100%. Recently made the switch to front vee brake, very rare in the trials world, unheard of in the competition scene, but so far it's going very well, really impressed with it.

New Video!
Yesterday I had a few hours spare and was a little bored so made a little video.
I've got a lot of odd's N end's clips from throughout 2011. I'm really bad at getting rid of things, I never delete anything especially If it hasnt been used. I don't have any new, good clips so made the most of the scraps I had on the computer.
Edited quite quickly, its rather basic but It's come out nicely, I'm happy with it.
Clips are nothing special, hence why they wernt used when they were filmed 5 + months ago.
Most of its filmed at Barrow Farm, few bits from Samphire Hoe and 1 clip from Sweden.
( Also features my new favourite sport at the end)
Music: This will destroy you - A 3 legged workhorse
