2012 World Biketrial Elite No.11 2012 British Trials Cup No.3
7th May 2013 - 3rd place at the British cup!
On Sunday I took part in the second round of the British trials cup at Bracken Rocks, Derbyshire. Like the days leading up to it, Sunday was Hot! After the weather we have had so far this year, I am not complaining, I'm just saying it didn't make things easy :P
Robin Morewood set out a very hard competition, big, hard moves and very long sections made it it difficult as you had to be spot on and perfect at all times, no room for any mistakes.
I made a so so start, I had a 1 on my first section, then 5'd the next 3 (these turned out to be the hardest of the day). I then had 1,2,3 and 5 on the next sections giving me a lap of 27. It should have been lower but I knew on my second where I would improve. I made a much better start on my second lap with a 0 and a 3 but then on my 3rd section, where I think I would have gotten a 1 or 2, I got a dreaded puncture at the start which gave me 5, over the next 3 sections I had the same on my first lap. My final section again should have been a 1 or 2 but I had the weirdest 5 ever, I cant explain what happened at all! This gave me a second lap of 26 which was a lot more than It should have been.
But I had my first British podium of the year and Its set me up well in the overall championship - Looking forward to the next round!

9th April 2013 - British Championship round 1, 4th Place
On Sunday it was the opening round of the British biketrial championship held at Hook woods In surrey - and it didn't rain or snow!
We were greeted by sunshine and some great sections. From the start I felt like I was riding well, usually in takes me a couple of sections to relax and get with it, but I had a really good ride in my first section which set me up well. On my first lap I had two 5's which I should not really have got which put me on 20 for the lap, not too bad, but not perfect. My second lap did not start so well. The opening section which I cleaned so easily on the first lap ended in a stupid 5. I came slightly offline as I landed a large gap jump causing me to jump down to the side of the rock I was on, I thought I has saved it, but I landed In a awkward position causing both feet to come off. The rest of the lap went well, I had a great ride on my 3rd section where I had 5 on the first lap, getting a really nice 1. My final section of the day I 5'd again, It was a bit of a clumsy 5 which I think could of been avoided. I ended my 2nd lap on 19, so my total was 39 putting me in 4th place In the world Elite class. It was a pretty high score and a fairly large gap to 3rd considering how well I was riding and what I 'should' have been on ( yes should of could of would of......) but I am still really happy with the day. 4th was a good position to start the year with and I'm really pleased with my riding, showing that the recent training's been paying off!
Big thank you to all of my sponsors who have helped me out over winter!

3rd April 2013 - Scott Wilson PK60 with Exclusive sports media
At the end of 2012 I was invited to take part in a project by Exclusive sport media called 'PK60'. PK60 gives athletes 60 seconds to showcase their talents & creativity within a maximum of 2 hours filming time.
Lewis Scott from ESM came down to Folkestone and we set about trying to create something for the project, it was slightly tricky as the weather decided to turn into what can only be described as a hurricane!! but we managed to get together some great shots and this was the result!

2nd April 2013 - The year has started!
Over the bank holiday weekend my 2013 competition season started - not perfectly - but It started!
It was the opening round of the Crowthorne Club championship held at Barrow farm in Essex. It was a good turn out for the day in all classes with the weather staying decent for the day -It was still very muddy and very cold, but It was easy to cope with once we got under way.
I made a very bad start with a First lap of 12, which was a huge score In a relativity easy, low scoring competition. My 2nd and 3rd laps were better with scores of 3 & 2, however the damage was done on the first lap. I still had a great day though, going around with Tom Rankin and Joe Maher, we didn't take it too seriously, helping each other out and having fun. I ended the day in tied 2nd with Tom Rankin ( I was given 3rd as I finished a few minutes after Tom) with Steve Rogers taking a well deserved win after a very good ride.
The following day I headed to Wellington rocks with Joe Seddon and Josh Kydd who had traveled over from the west country for the day to do a bit of riding. It was great to have some new riders to ride with here, we all rode well and found some nice new lines. This was the first day in the past 6 months that there was no mud, rain or snow at wellington rocks, maybe summer is slowly starting to appear!
- The next event on the calender Is the Opening round of the British Trials Cup at Hook Woods next weekend!
54 Sport are currently having a massive sale on their website with 20-25% off everything in the Sale. Have a look over to grab some great deals and some nice new parts for the upcoming ride filled summer! - www.54sport.co.uk

13th February 2013 - Cologne Trials Jam
Over the past weekend I traveled to Cologne in Germany for the 2013 Cologne/Frühlingserwachen TrialJam.I went out there with Andrei Burton, Matt Pengelly, Gary Sanderson and Simon Whitby a great bunch of guys to travel and train with. Whilst there I also met up and rode with Patrick Donovan, Carles Diaz, Hannes Herman, Erik Juric and Jonas Kristiansen as well as many amazing German riders.
The event was held Indoor's with some great sections set up to ride. We arrived Friday afternoon and left Sunday evening, we did not spend much time off the bike, on the Saturday we rode for around 11 hours! It was a good day!
Although It was a fun event it was also a very important weekend for training. To be in such a good setting - Indoors,Warm, good mix of obstacles and to be riding with some of the worlds top riders ( European vice champion, world No.9, Junior world champion etc) was really good for me. I really pushed myself to try new, harder things and to increase the sizes of things I was doing. I acheived everything I set out to do when I arrived and more, so it was a very successful trip for me and has set me up really well for the upcoming season.
Thank you to all of the organizers and everyone who helped throughout the weekend and to all the Photographers who have provided pictures
See you in 2014!
