Last week I rode In my final MAD shows for a while, 3 great days of Schools shows for Redbridge council and sustrans. The schools we visit are always great, the kids love what we do and its always really rewarding seeing them get so excited about cycling. Unfortunately our final show on Saturday In Stowmarket was cancelled due to the weather - but it is the British summer time!
On Wednesday I will be leaving for this year’s Biketrial World Championship being held over the next 3 weeks in France Spain and Italy. I have previously visited the French and Italian venues before and they are brilliant places to ride, I haven’t been to the Spanish venue but from what I've seen its looking good to. As usual I am very excited about world championships, I’m looking forward to each competition and feel as though I will be able to get some good results. I have been riding a lot over the last couple of months and am very happy with my riding, I'm feeling confident I can keep on to my Top 10 ranking!
My Sponsors Bio Synergy sent me some great new products to keep me fuelled up during the world championships. These will help me out a huge amount and give me that extra little edge in my training and during the competitions - Thank you!

For the past week I have been in the Czech Republic for Dressler camp 2012. Dressler camp Is an amazing event to attend held at a great venue ( holds the European motorcycle trials championship). It was both a training week for me and a mini holiday camp. I was able to ride at a perfect trials venue with some of the worlds best riders while it was 30 + everyday and also able to have a lot of fun, having a good laugh with everyone and taking part in the competitions they ran over the week. These included a Retro trials competition ( riding bikes from the early 80's) Pump track contest (Riding chainless Inspired bikes), 4X trials racing, an eliminator section, A freestyle trials comp (where I came 6th!) and a reguler trials competition where I made the finals.
I was lucky enough to spend the week with some great people who made It a pretty perfect week, thanks to everyone who was there!
On the 1st of July I competed In the 5th Round of the British Trials Cup, held at Barrow farm in Essex. It was a good comp, the sections were mixed and very good. My riding was good, pleased with how the day went. I had a few silly mistakes and a bit of bad luck (My chain coming off on one of the easiest sections of the day, I still finished it though) but It was still a good day. I finished 4th In the 'UCI World Elite class'

It’s been a pretty special week or so for me. After doing a run of 9 days straight of shows, I was home for 1 day before I headed out to Italy to take part in the “Grand Prix Internazionale di Bike Trial Santal” - A special rules, Invitational competition.
The organisers Invited 5 Italian riders and 5 foreign riders. It was held in the centre of Viaggio, a very popular seaside tourist spot. I took part in a warm up demo on the Saturday night to promote the event and the main competition was on the sunday evening.
It was huge, we had hundreds of spectators during the evening and lots of media about, loads of photographers and a TV crew. It was a very fast paced exciting comp a lot of fun to be part of. I finished In 5th which wasn't too bad – It was more about the event itself rather than the result.
After being home for a day I got message Inviting me to ride at a small event called to GoodWood festival of Speed!
They were holding a MTB trials event on the Thursday In the GAS arena along the Motorbike trials, Freestyle Motocross and BMX events and asked me to take part.
There were 3 riders taking part and we had a course that went around the whole arena. 3 Timed sections then a race at the end. It was filmed live on the Big screen in the arena and we had hundreds of spectators watching and following us around,It was great to see so many people following us showing such an Interest In Biketrials. Even though the competition wasn't anything too serious........I still should of won Mr Doney! I was being a bit too sporting, slowing down during a section while a rider fixed a puncture - I went a bit too slow! I'm blaming this for loosing out on 1st (Sore loser, I know, Rematch next year?)
We had the Animal Bike Tour’s James Thorne and Trials Legend Martyn Ashton commentating, they did a great job and was fun being Interviewed a few times during the comp. We had a full on podium ceremony, champagne spraying and Prize Money, the lot – I was presented my Medal by Eigo Sato, A freestyle motocross superstar who takes part in the Red Bull X fighters.
I wont be forgetting this day in a Hurry!
