29th March 2017 - Updates!Apologies for the lack of news on the website, had a hectic couple of months planning the year and getting organised for a very busy summer ( Also, having my Van go bang on the M25 took up some of my time!)
I have got a very exciting and busy summer coming up, I have once again been invited to Asala Marknad In Sweden, In July. This was an amazing event last year and I'm really looking forward to going back! Show season kicks of in April, with the first shows alongside Savage Skills taking place at SantaPod raceway - Thats going to be very cool! Competitions are starting for me in May,looking forward to getting back into the competition mindset! Here's a little bit of riding I've been up to this week - Yay for the sun finally being out! Reinosa Indoor Trial 2017!So, here is my report, a bit late, but here is my report from my mega trip to Spain at the start of the month!
The reinosa Indoor trial was an amazing event. 3000 spectators inside the Arena ( Max capacity) with another 3000 watching on the Livestream, which after 5 days had gone up to 10,000 + views. Raul did an amazing job, he and his team worked so hard and received so much support. It all came together to make a perfect event! Commentary for the livestream was done by cesar canas, The legendary 10 times world champion, so it felt amazing to have him commentating on my riding! The competition went well, on my qualification run I did get a puncture, so that added a bit of drama to things as I had to run off backstage and fix it! Despite this set back I still qualified 3rd and made the finals. I did struggle a lot with arm pump, meaning halfway through each section my forearm would be rock solid and sore, it meant I couldn't ride at 100% which was disappointing. The finals were great, with brilliant support from the crowd, we put on a great show! I stayed in 3rd, finishing behind the current world champion and world No.2. In attendance and handing out awards were Dani Sordo - Hyundai Factory World rally Driver, Sandra Gomez – Womens SuperEnduro World Champion, Womens World Trials No.2 and X games champion and also Laro Herrero – Olympic Snowboarder. Here is an album from the event by Ifomo who were providing the media and livestream. https://www.facebook.com/pg/photoifomo/photos/?tab=album&album_id=570780253132897 Keep checking my instagram and facebook pages as I add more pictures! Here you can find the Livestream- https://www.facebook.com/ifomogrupo/videos/824956530976389/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE And here is the highlights video - https://www.facebook.com/ifomogrupo/videos/826414867497222/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE The following day the event huge press coverage, including a double page spread in the local newspaper and Radio reports. For the rest of the week we trained! Myself, vasha and Raul spent everyday riding in the spanish sun.......... which turned into snow by the weekend! For one day, I did an instagram takeover for Bio Synergy which was very fun and provided something different for them and their fans We also visited 2 local schools, where there were presentations made about us and our sport and we did interviews with the students which was great fun and was great to share our stories with them It was a mega week and was a great way to start the year, the training we've done has really helped kickstart the year and the event will surely be one of the best of the year! 28th October 2016 - My crowdfunding project! Assist me & get rewards!I have recently created a project on ‘sponsorise me’, a crowdfunding website for sportsmen and sponsors.
My project has been created to assist me with funding my 2017 bike and equipment. A breakdown of the project can be found on the projects page, with a explanation of what I need, why I need it and what the rewards for funding can be! There are rewards for donations from £10 up to £1000! These include signed goodies, shout outs, permanent sponsorship positions and demonstrations! Any help is greatly appreciated and at this moment in time much needed in enabling me to ride and compete in 2017. With crowdfunding, the project maker does not see any of the funds unless they reach 100%, if they do not, all donations get returned to those who have donated. So every little donation really does help. If assisting in this project appeals to you at all, great! Or if you know of anyone that would be interested at all, please pass on this link. https://uk.sponsorise.me/en/project-scott-wilson-get-2017-started 20th August - BIU world Biketrial championship. Blansko,Czech republicThis years world biketrial championship format was tweaked once again from last year, this year we would only be contesting 2, not 3, competitions in 1 week. The venue this year was Blansko in the Czech republic, which I have visited 3 times before, once for a European championship and twice for a world championship event.
We arrived late on sunday evening before the first event on Monday, meaning there was not enough time to walk the sections. Everyone told me what I needed to know though, they were long and tough! I found this out on the first section of the day, being timed out . I was the first 26" rider through each section so I was a bit of a path finder. The next few sections were tough, primarily through being very long. You could ride spot on but still find yourself running out of time. I ended the first lap well, improving on my relatively poor start. The second lap was much better, straight from the start, getting through section 2 which caught me out on the first lap. I then matched my first lap, by having another good 2nd half of my lap. I ended the day 4th, fairly happy with my day as I knew I was not 100% ready on the day, but I still had good rides and knew where to improve on the second day! Between the competitions a lot of riders organised 2 days of training, led by local boy and world champion Vasha Kolar. The first day was at the Blansko trials park and the 2nd day was at a secret area of woods with a stream. We had riders from across the world training and having fun together which was great to see, we had riders from Britain, Spain, France, Italy, Czech and China. The second competition went a lot better for me. I felt lot more confident and comfortable on the bike leading up to the competition and after looking at all the sections, even though they were tougher, I thought that they suited me a lot more. The was a lot more added danger for this competition too, with some very high up sections and some massive drop offs! ( A 12 foot drop is a nice way to start your day!) The competition was good and i felt good throughout the day in my riding. Starting a lot better than the first day the opening sections went well, with a slight lull in the middle but picking up again at the end. After my first lap there were points I knew i had ridden well, but there was also key sections I needed to improve on. I rode better on my 2nd lap and improved in the opening half however the 3 key sections i wanted to get through, I couldn't, so the improvement overall was now as great as it could have been. I had a great ride on my final section, in-front of the big crowd, so It was nice to end on a high. I repeated my first days position of 4th, but was close to 3rd, which in part made me happy but also made me more annoyed! I ended the Championship 4th Place in the Mens Elite 26" Class. The overall championship was great, the venue and sections were very nice and good to ride. Well done to the rest of GB, we had some awesome results! 23rd July The Big trip, part 2: Asala marknad shows!
After returning from dressler camp, I was back home for less than 12 hours before I was back on my way to Stansted airport, this time heading for Sweden!
I was heading to Asala Marknad, a huge festival in the north of Sweden which is attended by 150,000 people from all over the North of Sweden.
Before getting to the event, there was a matter of a small roadtrip of 12 hours to get there from Gothenburg! I was riding the shows with Peter and Daniel, 2 riders I have known for over 10 years from the competition scene, but who I haven't seen for a long long time, so we spent the whole trip reminiscing about the good 'ol days and doing some sightseeing.
At the event we were giving a great amount of equipment to use, so we were able to create a great set up to ride and keep us entertained for 4 days of shows.
We rode 5 shows each day for 4 days with great crowds at each one of them. Along side us there was also car displays, snowmobile racing and live bands, including the sounds!
After the 4 days of shows we then roadtripped back, this time stopping at Jarvso bikepark to ride downhill all day. It was a brilliant park to ride and no one got hurt, so great day!
Massive thank you to Peter for arranging the trip and inviting me and thank you to the organisers, see you next year!!
While at the event I made a small video on my phone from a little ride after one of our shows, have a look at what we got up to!

23rd July The Big trip, part 1: Dressler Camp!
So, I have just returned from a mega trip over 3 weeks. The first part of this was to the Legendary Dressler camp in the Czech Republic. This was my 5th time at the event and I enjoy it so much everytime. There are riders from all over the world and of all ages and abilities training together all week and having a good time. Each day there was a different competition, this year we had the retro race (and fancy dress), A fun event, 4x trials race, Freestyle competition, A trials comp with super final and the eliminator trial.
Thank you once again to all the organisers, helpers,Josef and especially Lukas and Lucy!!
I have added a gallery of pictures from the week, thank you to Pavil and Lucy for the great pics!

28th June -Goodwood Festival Of Speed!! *Gallery Updated*
What a few days I have had! After a very last minute call, I was invited to ride all 4 days of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the GAS arena! The Goodwood festival of speed is the Biggest motoring event in the UK (Most likely Europe too) and attracts 150,000 people a day and has people such as Jenson Button, Stirling Moss, Ross Brawn and Keanu Reeves attending!
The GAS (Goodwood Action Sports) arena was a huge set up that including a massive BMX and MTB Dirt Jump section, Freestyle Motocross jumps and a big dual lane race for Motorcycle and Bicycle trials.
Their were 24 riders involved in the GAS arena that I was privileged to ride with and this line up included superstars such as Matt Jones, Sam reynolds, Chris Doyle, Brandon Dosch, Kriss Kyle, Sergio Layos, Petr Pilat,Steve Sommerfield, Jack Price, Dougie Lampkin and the GOAT, Ricky Carmichael!!!
The trials segment of the show was pretty cool. Myself and Chris Doney, the other Mountainbike trials rider there, would race down and back along a really cool dual lane trials set up, the winner of that race would then go against the winner of a race between Jack and Dougie the motorcycle riders.
One of the proudest moments in my career is beating Dougie Lampkin MBE in a head to head race! See, pedal power is better than fossil fuel power ;)
I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone at the Goodwood Festival of speed and at E22 sports who made this possible and to all the riders, commentators and crew who made it such an enjoyable 4 days, hope to see you all again next year!!

30th May - Coaching day success and bank holiday ride!
Over the weekend I ran my first Biketrials Coaching day at Radical Bikes in Chelmsford, and it was a great success! We had a great turn out and had a lot of fun. It was a pretty intense 4 hours for the lads, but I saw some great improvement throughout the day which was very good to see! Thanks to all those that came along and attended. Also big thank you to Mick and Maria at Radical Bikes and to Bloc, Green Oil and Bio synergy for providing some goodies for the day.
After the coaching had ended I stayed on at Radical Bikes to do some riding of my own with Luke walder and Rory Hooper. The weather was amazing so it was impossible to pass it up! We had a really fun ride and everyone was riding great. I took a few clips on my phone of some nice lines I got done. Have a look at the little video below!

British Championship/Euro cup video by TrialSection.cz!
The cool dudes over at Trial Section made this great video from the British Championship and European cup that was held over the weekend in Derbyshire, have a watch!
18th May - British Biketrial Championship and European Cup
Over the weekend I headed up to a surprisingly sunny Elton In Derbyshire for the British Biketrial Championship and the First round of the European Cup. These 2 events were run on the same course but counted towards 2 separate results. The British championship was obviously only open to British riders and the European cup was open to International riders with an international License ( British riders included). This meant we had quite a few foreign riders over, riders from Czech, Slovakia, Italy and Spain.
The competition was really nice, Robin Morewood and his team did a great job ( I wont list everyone as I'm sure I'd miss someone out!) It was a new venue to me and it was an awesome place! The sections were good, a nice mix of big moves and technical lines, 3 very tough sections and 3 do-able ones. There were 2 that I thought didn't suite me due to me being a left footed rider, however, whether I would have got through them If i was a right footed rider,I'm unsure.
We had 3 laps and I was pretty consistent over all 3 laps. I had one unfortunate 5 on my first lap due to running out of time. The next 2 laps ended on the same score as each other so I am happy with my consistency.
I finished the day 3rd In the British championship class, a bit further behind 2nd than I would have liked, but with 2 sections that did not favour me, It was tricky to get much closer, I was happy to end the day on the Podium which Is always the Goal. In the European Cup Class I won the Elite 26" and was the Top Elite rider overall which again I was very happy about..
I have added a small batch of pictures taken by Trial Section.cz onto the Gallerys page.

10th April 2016
At the weekend it was the first round of the British Trials cup at Seymours Arena In Oxfordshire. The Venue is used each year for the Motorcycle super Trial and last year was the first year it was a used for a biketrial event.
It was a good turn out for the first event of the year which bodes well for the rest of the season.
We had 2 laps of 8 sections and there was a good mix of easier and harder sections.
I made a good start, having a very nice ride on my opening section, but I followed this up by having 3 5's on my next sections, which were the hardest of the trial. The next 2 sections were really fun to ride and I made it through them well, the following 2, not so much!
My second went better, making it through 2 of the harder ones that I 5'd on the first lap, the rest of the lap was pretty much the same, so my 2nd lap score was only a slight improvement.
I ended up in 4th place, 5 point behind 3rd. 3rd - 6th places were all close, 9 points covering the 4 positions in a high scoring competition. There are places were I could have ridden better and made up the points to take 3rd, but I also know that a few silly mistakes could have dropped me down the leader board, so I'll take a 4th place!

7th March 2016 - 1st comp of the year!
Yesterday was my first competition of the year, the opening round of the Crowthorne club championship at Hook Woods. As is traditional at hook woods this time of year, it was wet. muddy and cold! However it was a great turnout with some great sections made.Andrei Burton came over from Devon and Sam Oliver was down from wales and along with Charlie Rolls the mini superstar and Antonio Claret from Brazil we had a great Elite entry.
Myself, Andrei, Sam and Charlie all rode the trial together, often riding sections at the same time! It was great to all share lines and encourage eachother and have a really good laugh.
The sections seemed tough at first especially with plenty of wet patches to catch you out and had 1 hard bit in each but they ended up being fairly easy if you got them right. I had a freak 5 on my second to last section, doing the hard move and then falling off while standing still - It was that slippery! and a sketchy 3 on my first lap and that was it really. I ended up 3rd on 11 points behind Sam on 5 and Andrei on 2.
At the end of the day the club ran a Speed section, with an easy and hard route. I went last so the pressure was on, but I set the fastest time and took the win!
I was a bit rusty in places and a bit competition unfit, but I felt i rode well and enjoyed the day. Big thank to the Crowthorne club for a top day!

18th -23rd July - World Biketrial championship Odena
This years world Biketrial championship was very different to years previous as this year instead of there being 3-5 rounds spread across different weeks, this year there would be 3 rounds held in just 1 week! This years venue was Odena In Spain. 3 competitions in 6 days, in 40 degree spanish sun, what a wonderful week to look forward to!
The opening round was held In and around a small rocky woods, which featured lots of sharp rocks and very very loose dirt climbs, which made things very unpredictable.
The 1st days competition featured some very tough sections, some were insanely long featuring some big moves and drops! I didnt really loosen up on the first lap a couple of bike problems didnt help but by the end of the lap i felt good and was riding well. The second lap went better and I made it through a lot of the tough opening sections which stopped me on the 1st lap. I ended the day in 4th place in the Elite 26" class.
The second competition was held on the other side of town, with sections that featured a lot more exposed and bigger rocks ( which were very sharp!)
The first 2 sections were separated from the main group of sections and were tough. I made it to the end of the first section, but had freak crash, were my back wheel fell in a hole as i took off for a gap, all my momentum went forward, but the bike didn't and I hit the rock instead! The main group of sections were nice to ride and I had some good rides on them. I split my brake house on my 4th section being I had to stop for repairs but other than that, the opening lap went well.
My second lap started with another 5 on the firs lap but I had a great ride on the 2nd section to make it through for a 3. Again, the main body of sections went well, I had to battle some arm pump as the heat was starting to get to me, but my riding level remained high and i finished the competition on a high. Until I saw the final results that evening. I hadn't closed the gap on 3rd at all which really disappointed me as I felt I had ridden a lot better than on the opening day.
Between each of our events there were competitions for the youth riders. On the 2nd event, Myself and Ansis dermaks acted as minder for British rider Sam Shepherd. Sam had a storming ride and took 3rd place in the Benjamin class, his first ever world championship podium and a massive improvement from his 8th position in the first round.
The 3rd and final round of the championship took place in the same location as the first round had. I immediately felt better and more confident from the off picking up some good rides and results. I made 1 stupid mistake on an easy section, I lost my balance on a tight rock and as it was so small i had nowhere to go but off the side of it!
The last few sections of the lap were very tough, which everyone struggled on.
The second lap started even better getting through 2 more sections which stopped me on my first lap. I still managed to have a stupid 5 on the easy section which got me on my first lap, just in a different place!
The remainder of the lap went well with some good rides to end the competition and the week. I had survived the week surprisingly well and felt good throughout the final day up until 3 sections from the end when it hit me and i felt drained! Those were some of the hardest sections I've ever done!
I ended the week ranked 4th place in the Elite 26" class. I was a bit disappointed not to be closer to the podium on occasions but with my lack of substantial training this season, I was just happy to survive! Massive thank you to everyone who helped me for the whole championship and who made it a great trip!

10th July - Dressler camp
Dressler camp is one of the biggest and best events of the year run by Lukas Burianek, Josef Dressler and a whole host of amazing helpers! Dressler camp is a week long trials camp full of great competitions, fun riding with your friends and a party around the campfire here and there. The camps slogan is 'Trial,Fun & rock and roll'
The week opened properly with the Retro Trial. A fun 2 section trial on classic bikes from the 70s/80s which has been carefully (ish) looked after. Over the last couple of years its turned into a bit of a fancy dress event too which sprung up some funky costumes! We ride the sections with no stopping and hopping allowed, its pretty tricky! I actually ended this comp in 2nd, one of my proudest results!

The next event would be the 4x Trials race. 4 riders racing down a course, on trials bikes! Lots of fun but also lots of crashes! Me being on my super competition bike with hydraulic brakes I wasn't particularly suited to it, but i did still manage to make the semi finals, which was a nice surprise! ( Inside line, slide into the other riders, was a good plan of attack)
The next event was the traditional trials competition. You could choose to do 2 or 3 laps and choose your best 2 laps to count, being the athlete I am, i chose to only do 2!
I rode the comp with Euen Beaden and Brakless legend Flipp, it was great fun.
For the elite class this comp acted as a qualifier for the evenings 'super' final.
The finals were once again spectacular. The top Elite riders from qualifying were to ride each section 1 at a time, this years twist was they had to do it in both directions within the normal time limit. It was tough.
Huge crowds and a commentator followed us again and it creates such an amazing vibe and helps the riders really push themselves.
There were a couple of easy sections and a couple of hard ones, on one of which I pulled one of the best/luckiest balance lines/saves In my life and was told it was the line of the week! haha
The Final main competition of the week was the Freestyle trial contest. You have a minute to do any lines or tricks you want. I always enjoy this despite not having a great "Freestyle" bike. But thats the magic of dressler camp, anyone and everyone can join in!
I found some cool lines to do and ended up 4th place in the finals which was cool!
Ofcourse in traditional Dressler camp style there were some big celebrations and partys........but what goes on on tour, stays on tour!

31st June - Euro Cup slovakia
In June I headed out to the Czech republic where I spent a few days days with my old friend and current world champion, Vasha Kolar. We had some good training sessions at his local trials park which the local trials club run ( which vasha is the chairman of!) and spent some fun time being tourists, swimming and playing table tennis. After a couple of days we travelled across the border into Slovakia for the 2nd round of the European cup series.
This event was held on a part man made, part natural trials park on a hillside. The sections were very tough and i think it was one of the hottest days of the year ( judging by my sun burn) The sections were nice though, some good moves and obstacles in them. I was still very out of shape both physically and in terms of 'on the bike' ready, so i was disappointed with my riding, but the event and whole trip was very nice. Thanks for a good time vasha!

1st June 2015 - A catch up- competitions at every level
The whole ' keeping the website up to date' thing hasn't worked too well,so its another big update!
On the 10th of May it was the 2nd round of the British trials cup, this time held at a new venue, Seymours arena in Oxfordshire, which has previously held the North Berks motorcycle ' Super Trial'. It was a great new addition to the series and I look forward to going back there.
It was a good competition with a nice mix of easy and tough sections and a mixture of lines to suite every body. I had a decent ride all day with a steady first lap which included some mistakes. My second lap had a decent improvement though improving from 24 to 16. I finished in 3rd place behind Jack Carthy and Sam Oliver which I was pleased with.

Next up was the BIU european championship in Brezova/Sokolov in the Czech republic. Another great Czech venue that I have been to on 2 previous occasions. We had 8 sections, 5 were at the bottom of the forest on 'man made' rock sections and 3 were in the forest which was a massive walk uphill away from the rest of the trial.
As usual for the czech organisers they put on a great event and made some nice sections.
My day didn't start great, on the second section on one of the scariest lines I have done in a while, which involved riding along the skinny top edge of a rock which had a 10 foot drop the other side and jumping from a down slope off the end of it, upon landing my handlebars spun round! They moved far enough that my brake levers were facing up.Not only did that give me a 5 on a section that i should have cleaned but it also made me very nervous for the rest of the trial!
The rest of the lap went well. There were a few odd, stupid mistakes however overall my riding was good and i knew how to improve.I was in 4th,close to 2nd and 3rd.
I had been suffering with a cold all week and was very congested and tired. (I was carrying a pocket full off tissues and using them after every section!)
This caught up with me on the second lap and I was drained. I was able to eliminate the major mistakes of my first lap but where i was tired and lacking strength I made a lot of silly little mistakes and I finished on the same score as my first lap and ended 4th,with a fair gap to 3rd.

Finally, yesterday It was round 4 of the Crowthorne club championship at Brackedene. It was raining all morning so conditions were pretty tough. It was a real oldskool competition, wet muddy and tricky but a lot of fun! I won my class and also won the speed section that was run as a bit of fun at the end of the day. The crowthorne club always put on a good event and work really hard to run the championship each year.
28th April 2015
I had a very cool day yesterday. In the morning I went to the local post office and collected my brand new Bloc Titan sunglasses. These new glasses from Bloc are amazing as they feature 4 changeable lenses (All come with the glasses when you buy them) so you are covered for any condition you face! These will be getting lot of use this summer! www.Bloceyewear.com
On my way to Radical bikes to do some riding I stopped off at Brands Hatch to watch the Lotus F1 team who were at the circuit for a filming day. It was awesome to see ( and hear) their current car. It was a nice detour!
I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening riding at Radical bikes with Joe Maher. We had a really fun ride and got some cool lines done and also some filming too.
Aside from Joe being a top rider and fun guy to hang around with, he is also a professional Photographer, so when he said he wanted to take some photos I was happy to oblige him!
Even though it was at the end of the ride, when we were both a bit tired, Joe got some Brilliant pictures that I'm really happy with. Thank you very much Joe!

Happy new year! Its been a while since I've updated the website. At the start of the year I was made the Manager of the BUFF/Kitshack shop In bluewater shopping centre ( come visit us, we're cool), so that is currently taking up a lot of my time. If im not at work Im either sleeping or riding, so very little time to turn the computer on and do write ups! But I will aim to keep on top of things more now! Alternatively you can check out my facebook, twitter and instagram pages, which are updated regularly and feature pictures!

So whats been happening? Well a few things in 2014, here's a quick recap!
- The opening round of the Crowthorne championship took place on the 1st of March at Hook Woods. It was a great comp to start the year and I took the win, so it was the perfect start to the season for me. I'm happy!
- I headed over to Exeter at the end of the March to meet up with Morts Lindholm ( blog.mortenlindholm.com/rainy-weekend-blues + www.mortenlindholm.com) and Andrei Burton. We had planned to spend the weekend at Dartmoor, which is an amazing place to ride, to get some pictures. However the weather had different ideas and Dartmoor was covered in Fog for the whole weekend! Luckily Andrei has an awesome warehouse set up which we were able to use and train in all weekend instead. Mort's got some great shots still which are all available to view here -The warehouse shoot with morts lindholm photography
- In April it was the opening round of the British Trials cup at Hook woods. It was a good day which a really nice mix of sections, some easy, some hard, but all fun to ride. I ended the day 5th, 2 points behind 4th. I had a good ride. I could of cut out a lot of mistakes and taken 4th and potentially 3rd however im pleased with how I rode and 5th was a good result and start to the series.
- Rockman bikes sent 2 of the new Gabbro 3 frame kits to use. Ive only had one ride on the new frame, but first impressions are very nice! A nice set up that I instantly felt comfortable on.
- I also rode my first motorbike trial in a very long time. It was the weald non expert trial organised by Tenterden mcc. It was a very muddy and fun day and I finished 2nd in class.
13th November 2014 - Denmark and the Czech republic
November has ended up being another busy month for me even though the season is pretty much over.
At the start of the month I traveled to Denmark to go stay and train with Jonas Kristiansen and to compete in the final round of the Danish championship, held in the amazing Indoor trials park in Viborg.
I arrived friday afternoon and was able to get my bike built up and have a quick little ride in the evening at the trials park, it was impressive! I was only able to ride for around an hour, so I did not get a huge amount of time to prepare for the competition.
The competition was held on Saturday and consisted of 3 laps of 6 sections. I had to tackle a lot of the sections a bit differently to the other riders, I was the only rider in the whole competition riding a 26" bike. On my first lap i just tried different things and took risks, which didn't pay off! I finished my first lap with a horrific 31 points. My second lap improved to 21 and my 3rd lap went even better to 16 points. I felt my 3rd lap should have even better however there was a mistake with the time on 1 section which gave me a 5 instead of a 2 and then on my final section, my body gave up and i got very bad arm pump which cost me a couple more points.
I ended the competition in 4th place, 2 points behind 3rd, not a position I was happy with, however I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the trial and venue.
The following day there was a huge training session with most of the riders from the competition there as well as some other young riders. It was great getting to ride the whole park and train with Jonas and Joacim ( 1st and 2nd in the competition).
As a bonus before I went home I got to go ride some motorcycle trials with Jonas on Monday, borrowing his brothers repsol Montesa 4rt, thanks! It was my first ride on a 4 stroke, i was pleasantly surprised!
Thank you for a great time Ole and Jonas! www.trialaction.dk
I arrived home at 8pm on wednesday night and then left again for stansted at 3.30am, this time headed for the Czech republic!
I was heading there to commit in the Final round of the czech championship held in Brno as part of Sport Life one of the biggest trade shows in Europe. Also there was Slopstyle, Bmx,flatland, climbing,Ice hockey, baseball, graffiti and thousands of trade stands covering all sports and outdoor activities.
The competition was great. 2 laps of 6 really nice sections, all on different obstacles which were fun to ride, including an Indoor waterfall!
On my first lap I had a 1 and a 5 to finish the lap on 6 points which i was pleased with for an opening lap, but knew I could cut that 5 out easily. The opening 4 sections on my second lap all rode really easily and I cleaned everything. Arriving at the section where I had had my 5 I felt good and started the section by cleaning a very tough, technical segment which I had struggled with on my first lap ( While a TV cameraman was laying down underneath the obstacles!). I was very happy with this but as I was coming off the obstacle ( a sort of Tee pee shaped thing with wooden beams going around it) I slipped as i landed on the backwheel, but managed to save it, only then to be too off balance when i landed on the next been lower down and this sent me flying over the handlebars, missing the cameraman luckily! It was a really strange freak crash.
I ended my second lap on 6 as well, for a total of 12. This put me in 4th place, 1 point behind 3rd place. I was pleased with this, as I originally thought that this was a qualification round with the finals being later, however it turned out these were now going to be 2 separate competitions, so I ended up being a bit annoyed to miss out on 3rd by 1 point!
After the main event there was a "Super final" with the top 5 riders from Elite in the main competition and the winner of the Senior and Junior class all riding against each other.
It was a unique format used - There were 4 sections and you had 6 minutes to ride all 4 sections and return to the stage. It was a really high paced, spectator friendly event. I finished my lap on 0 and ended up 2nd tied with winner Vasek Kolar ( 2014 world champion), so it was the perfect end to the season for me!
The whole event was great, there was a good amount of riders taking part and some huge, enthusiastic crowds which were amazing!
A huge thank you has to go to Lukas burianek for making it all happen for me and putting us up in his home all week! www.trialricany.com
I have added to gallerys full of some really great pictures from both events -
Danish championship Final - Viborg
Czech championship Final - Sport life Brno
I also spent a lot of time with my camera out filming, so hopefully I will be able to get a good video from the trip out soon!

8th October 2014 - Videos,British Superbikes show and British No.3!
The last couple of days ended up being quite busy for me. For 2 days last week, I took my camera out with me as I really need to start getting back into filming and editing. Whatever I ended up filming over those 2 days I would use, no matter what! Luckily I got a couple of decent clips, I did have to rush the edit a little bit as I got home late from riding on the Thursday evening and was away on Friday morning, hence why the edit is a little sloppy in places and a few logos are a bit odd/missing!
I wouldn't really call this a promo video showing off my riding, just a “make use of what I’ve got, fast” video!
I’ve uploaded it to both Youtube and vimeo, both can be found below!
For such a small, quick video I’m happy with the views and reviews its received so far.
Feel free to share it !
This weekend I was at Silverstone with the ABevents /Inspire shows team, performing shows for the British Superbike championship. Saturday was a write off due to heavy rain all day, however Sunday was great with brilliant crowds all day. Being a huge superbike fan, it was a great weekend for me.
Although I didn't attend the final round of the British trials cup on Sunday ( The need to earn money to pay for other competitions was more important at this time!) I was still able to hold onto 3rd Position in the Overall series, meaning I am the UK No.3 in 2014! A position I am very pleased to be in!.

27th September - European Biketrial championship,Czech republic - 4th Place!
This weekend I was back in the Czech republic ( Which is now starting to look like my second home!) for the European Biketrial championship, held in the very nice city of Znojmo near the Austrian Border.
The event was held in the city center and in the nearby forest. As usual the organization was perfect and there was a huge amount of spectators for the competition.
There were 2 laps of 10 sections,2 man made in the city center and 8 in the forest. The first and last sections of the lap were the man made sections, these suited me well and I really enjoyed riding these, especially on the final lap when the afternoon crowd had built and and gave me a lot of support! The sections in the forest on the other hand were very tough. These sections were very long, slippery, technical and for a lot of the moves it did not suite a 26" bike (There were only 2 26" riders in the whole competition) I rode these sections well but was just a bit unlucky, often needing to save 1 little point somewhere or needing a few more seconds to make it out. They were tough, but still very enjoyable sections.
I ended the day 4th place in Elite which I am happy with, i would have liked to have been a little closer to 3rd than I was, but I rode well and class it as a successful trip!
Lukas burienek, who is always present at these events and is great at documenting them has already made a great video from the event, which I am lucky to be featured in a lot. I have added the video below.
Lukas has also sent over some brilliant pictures of me. All of these pictures and more can be found on the gallery page - European championship - Znojmo

UCI Mountainbike & Trials world championship -Norway
2 weeks ago I traveled to Lillehammer In Norway to represent Great Britain in the 2014 UCI mountain bike and trials world championship.
I finished 31st in the Elite men's 20" class. I have not ridden a 20" bike in 8 years and was given the bike 15 minutes before the start of the competition ( one of our junior riders did not make the finals so his bike became free) I didn't die, and made a name for myself doing some crazy things,so it went well!
In the men's Elite 26" class, I finished 26th, which I was disappointed with. My first and third lap scores put me in contention for 20th but my second lap was disastrous, I had 2 stupid mistakes which have me penalty points, one for landing outside the tape which borders each section and another for knocking a marker off which directs where to go.
Without these I would have been in contention for a much higher position. However, Norway is a really nice place and it was a great experience!

27th August 2014 - BIU WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 - 9th In the world!
I have just returned from the Biketrial world championship, which was this year held In Beau,Spain – Odena,Catalonia and Tanvald Czech republic.
I ended 2013 in 12th place overall so my goal for this year was to get top 10.
The opening round in Beau was held on the coast and as you would expect for Spain in August......It rained! the competition was good, I rode well, not great, but not bad either, each section as very hard an I was so close on making a lot of them, but you had to be 100% each time and any mistakes cost you. I finished in 10th so it was a good start.
From Odena we had to travel to the other side of Spain to make it to the 2nd round. So on our way we stopped at Torrembarra, a great city which not only has a fantastic port for riding but a trials park, so we were lucky enough to get some good training done there.
The 2nd round in Odena was a lot tougher for me, probably one of the hardest of my career. The sections did not suite my riding and my bike at all, the sections definitely favored 20"bikes. I ended the day in 11th, a long way behind 10th.
After the comp we then traveled into France and spent 2 days In Le tour de scay, a Biketrials Heaven! ( Thanks MoMo!!) Riders from all over the world who had also decided to stop and train here along the way to Czech joined us and made it a great stopover. We also made a brief stop In Germany for some training too, so we made use of our time well!
The final round in Czech looked much better, with the sections being fair for all riders and looking really fun to ride!
I made a great start, being one of the only riders to do the first few sections well. I had a huge crowd of spectators and photographers following me, the Czech’s always offer great support. On the final section of the first lap it rained heavily, so unfortunately a lot of them dispersed. After the first lap I was sitting in 5th position! By far my best elite placing. The 2nd lap didn't go as well, I got a bit nervous and I couldn't keep me momentum up and made some mistakes, not huge ones but enough that meant i didn't improve on my 2nd lap, whereas everyone else did. However I still finished the day in 8th, 2 points being 7th, This is my best elite result ever so I am very happy.
This result also put me in 9th In the overall championship. With a 10th being my goal and my previous years result being 12th I am very happy!
The events were well covered by photographers and press so I have been able to get a lot of pictures already, they can all be found here - World championship 2014 gallery
Next week I will be In Lillehammer, Norway for the UCI Mountainbike and trials world championship where I have been selected to represent Team GB In trials, alongside our cross country and Downhill teams. 2 weeks after than I am heading back out to the Czech republic for the European Biketrial Championship.
Keeping busy!

16th July 2014 - What a 2 weeks! - China Invitational and Dressler camp!
I recently went on one of the best and busiest tours of my life. It was an immense, unforgettable 2 weeks, here's what happened! (Well most of it)
The 2 week tour involved 1 week in China, where I had been invited alongside 10 other European Elite riders to attend a promotional competition and other promotional events. We were invited to showcase ourselves and our sport to the Chinese public and the City of Harbin. The second week I would be in the Czech republic for ‘Dressler Camp’ A week long Trials camp, full of training, competitions and fun, an amazing event run for the past 8 years in Tanvald.
The first stop was China, after 24 hours of travelling alongside 4 of the 10 other invited riders (from Czech,Denmark,Sweden,Slovakia) we arrived In Harbin City, In the Northeast of China. As expected It was Hot,Humid and very hectic. After we all walked about in a daze for a while and had a recovery sleep, we built the bikes up and went for a little ride by the hotel on some nice rocks. My handlebars kept slipping every time I did a move (lucky i brought a spare set), laco from slovakia destroyed his freewheel and Jonas from Denmark’s rear brake wouldn't work – It was the perfect start!
The first event for us was climbing the Dragon TV tower to set a Chinese and world record. The dragon tower is the tallest building in the North of China and all riders were invited to climb it. The record's would be the most riders climbing a tower at once and the fastest rider to climb the tower. 1 main set back for me was that once I got to the main shaft of stairs, my bike, being a 26” wheeled bike wouldn't actually fit on them! So i was unable to finish the attempt! A huge congratulations goes out to vasha (world No.2) Gemma ( Womens world champion) and Zhao ( Chinese champion) for being the only 3 riders to complete the challenge.
The main competition was held on Saturday and split into 3 heats. The evening before the competition we all checked out the sections and were pretty worried and disappointed. Not only were they easy but they were very unsafe, all of the obstacles were moving, damaged and just badly positioned, we all had to demand that things be repaired or we would not ride. The following morning at the competition the organizers had repaired and secured as much as they could, we were happy and agreed to ride.
The first heat had 2 laps of 5 sections and were set very very easy. I cleaned everything except for 1 stupid 5 on my first lap,I positioned myself really badly on a ladder climb, I was copying what the 20” riders did and of course I didn't fit the same! Instead of just jumping back down and beginning again I thought I could work my way out of it - I couldn't and ended tipping over backwards and off the side of the section. I was furious as I knew this was my competition over with as the scores were being carried over from each round. I cleaned every other section easily, including a horrible balance section which was the only section giving most people problems. After a break it was onto the semi finals, where the competition was reduced from 25 to 16. This was only 1 lap of 5 sections, again very easy sections. I cleaned every section again, this helped me move up the ranks a bit but as said before I knew my stupid 5 had cost me. I did not make the Final top 4 and ended 10th. Although it was slightly disappointing, a lot of riders were in the same position, dropping silly marks and ending in positions that were not really correct. Morgan Remy, the french rider, only finished on 1 point and ended up 6th, knocked out! Vasek Kolar, World No.2 also finished on 5 tied with me ( well, that's up for discussion, we all know the truth haha :p) and was 9th. But the event was not really about the competition element, it was more important being invovled and promoting the sport.
The following day there was a speed duel race. 2 riders up against each other in a dual lane section. This was great great fun, I made it to the quarter finals and narrowly missed out to Joacim, who went on to win the event, I was beating him at half way, so close!
A great memory of that day was signing so many autographs and taking so many pictures with people, It was great to see everyone so enthusiastic about what we were doing and also so amazed at what we did.
After another 24 hours of travelling I arrived in Tanvald, Czech republic for Dressler camp 2014. Dressler Camp is an amazing, unique event run my Josef Dressler (Former world champion) and Lukas Burianek (Czech superman) Its Motto Is “ Trial,Fun and rock and roll” and thats what It delivers. A week of great riding, competitions and fun with like minded people. This was my 3rd time at Dressler camp and it never disappoints.
The week started off with the retro trials competition. This is were we get to ride bikes from the 70’s and 80’s, everyone always gets involved and has great fun. Its not often you get to see 12 year olds, ‘large’ 50 year old men and a world champion all riding together and getting the same results! Over recent years the trend has been to also dress in retro clothing or fancy dress.Of course I was happy to get involved! The next event was the 4x trials race. 4 riders racing down a course all together. My bike and me were not set up for this event so I gave it a miss but it was great to watch- so much carnage!!
The next evening the Freestyle competition was held, again me and my bike were probably not the best set up for this but I really like this event so I got involved. We were given 1 minute 30 to do whatever we wanted on course. With dressler camp being such a unique event a great mix of riders got involved. It was primarily “street” riders riding as this is what the event was more catered for but me and Vincent Hermance (World champion) got involved and represented the comp crew well!
I mixed up my riding with some comp lines and big moves together with street flowing lines involving wall riders, tire taps and manuals. It was great fun! I made the finals and finished 8th, really happy!
The following day was the main day, when the Inspired trials competition was held. A lot or riders traveled over for this event alone so it was the busiest day. There were 2 laps of 6 sections , the sections made fairly easy but some rain that night and also in the middle of the competition made it very tricky at times. I finished the competition in 2nd place on 3 points, which i was very pleased with.
That evening The top 8 riders were invited to take part in a special final event. There were 4 sections with the riders all riding each section one at a time. The sections were really hard and spectacular, made for a show. The crowd followed us round each section and gave great support. I finished the finals in 5th place, my best ever dressler camp result so i was really pleased, it was a great day!
The following 2 days were spent with Vasek Kolar, TRA and lukas burianek. Lukas letting us stay at his house and taking us to some great riding spots. He took us to amazing forest area with a huge stream running through it. We found some brilliant lines to ride and stayed there all day till a thunderstorm arrived!
These 2 weeks were incredible, I cant thank everyone involved enough. The china event was such an amazing thing to be invited to and to be involved with and I am grateful for the organizers inviting me. Dressler camp was brilliant as always, so much fun and a week long of riding bikes in a great place.
Thank you to – Jason, Lukas Burianek, Josef dressler, Joacim Nymann, Jonas Kristiansen, Vasek Kolar, Laco, Momo, Ansis, Thomas (TRA) and the many many people I have obviously missed out!!

16th May 2014
I've been a bit slow ( well, very actually) updating the site recently, Its been a busy few weeks!
On the 4th of May not only was it my mums birthday but It was the 2nd round of the British trials cup held at Blackpool on the north pier just down the road from the iconic Blackpool tower.
Like the opening round In Hook woods, it was a tough day. The sections were very hard for the Elite route involving some big moves.
After our very athletic, healthy meal at an Indian restaurant which included the worlds largest Naan bread the night before the competition ( due to no other restaurants being open) the day went well for me, as I said it was a hard day so everyone was struggling in places. I was happy with my start to the day and happy with how my first lap went, there was room for improvement but I hoped for a similar lap No.2. My second lap ended up slightly worse, which was not good, however it was only by a few points after some slack dabs in one section in particular.
I ended the day In 3rd place again which I am pleased with and that now puts me into 2nd position in the overall championship

19th April 2014 - Some quick updates
Some little nuggets of news that have been happening over the last couple of weeks -
- I was featured in Trials Magazines "Who's Who" of British biketrials. Its great to be recognised and featured in such a a piece. The whole articel is great, really showing off just how much talent the British scene has right now
- There have been some great reports about the opening round of the British cup at the beginning of the month. Trials King and Tribalzine both have top in depth reports about the event, the Tribalzine article also featuring a really nice gallery too
www.trials-king.com/news/cycle-news/-british-trials-cup-round-1-hook-woods
- I had a little wobble around a few evenings ago down St Marys see front. I wanted to make use of the sunny evening while I could and also wanted to try out my new Gopro and Editing software. The clips are fairly basic, as there is not much to ride in St marys bays and the edit was knocked together In 5 minutes. Like i said, it was just a tester!
6th April 2014
Today was the opening round of the 2014 British trials cup, held at Hook Woods.
It rained overnight and In the morning so conditions were very tough, there was mud everywhere and the rocks were like ice!
The organisers had decided earlier in the year to raise the level of each class and it was very evident.
Like all of the Elite riders i struggled a lot on the first kap, the conditions caught us all out aswell as the length of each section. My riding improved a lot on the second lap and my score was a great deal lower than my first lap, I would still not say it was perfect, there was deffinitely rooom for inprovment, but with the conditions as they were you had to take what you could get as getting a 5 on any section was very easy.
I ended the day in 3rd behind Jack Carthy ( UCI World Elite No.3) and Sam Oliver. This was my goal for the day and I was really happy with the end result

20th March 2014 - Its been a busy month
March has been a pretty busy month for me, on Sunday the 2nd I went to Hook woods to take part in my first competition of the year, the Crowthorne Pre championship round. It was nice to get my first event done, it was also my first big ride on my new bike, it worked perfectly and I felt good on it all day. The day went well for me, my riding was good and I came away with the win which Is always a nice start! A few pictures of the competition can be found here - /crowthorne-pre-championship-round--march.html
Straight after the event I had to go home, wash my bike and pack my bags as I headed off to Spain the next morning!
Like last year, I was heading to Reinosa near Santander to meet up with Raul Gutierrez ( World biketrial No.5 & 2012 European champion) and Vasek Kolar ( World Biketrial No.2, UCI european No.4 & UCI World no.5) but this time we were training for 2 weeks! The region of Cantabria has so many amazing places to ride, all world level training areas. Over the fortnight we went to 6 different places, yet I know that there are still so many more. On the day I arrived It was....... raining! A massive storm hit the area, luckily however, for the rest of the trip we had bright sunshine!
Riding with these guys Is amazing, as they are both at the top of the sport and both have very different styles so It was great to learn from them as we trained. We all had our own specialty's, strength's and weaknesses so we all gained a lot from riding together.
We rode nearly every day, usually twice, at different locations, but when we did have time off we still filled the days in some interesting ways. On one day we travelled to Alto Campoo, the local ski resort to try Snow scooters! I had never been Skiiing or snowboarding before so it was all new to me however the Snow scooters were so fun to ride, I would recommend having a go!
On 2 other days off we were invited to the local school to take part in some interviews with the english classes. We spoke to different classes, from ages 12-18 and all of the students spoke great English, it was very impressive. We decided not too make a video from this years trip ( we were actually just too busy riding to set up and film!) but we got some great photos from across the two weeks, they can be found in the Gallery here - /spain-trip-march-2014.html

28th February 2014 - Having a Blast!
A couple of weeks ago I picked up my new bike from 54sport.co.uk. I will be riding the new Inpulse Blast, the latest model from the Inpulse Brand. This bike is quite different in terms of geometry compared to my last few bikes, so I have had to spend time getting used to it, adjusting the set up to get it feeling right, I am not 100% gelled wit hit yet, however change is always good and I'm sure the geo tweaks will help me, as will the improved weight ( Frame is just under 1kg lighter than my previous one!) Pictures of the new bike are below!
I am looking forward to getting the season kicked off this weekend at the crowthorne pre championship at Hook woods, following that, I will be flying out to Spain on Monday to meet up with Raul Gutierrez and Vasek Kolar from 2 weeks of amazing training! Really looking forward to this, we made a similar 10 day trip happen last year and it was brilliant, lots of fun and valuable training for the year. Check out Vasha's great video from last year -

I've had a few technical difficulties with my computer recently so all of my recent updates have been delayed, but here is the first one - I will be riding for KENNY RACING EQUIPMENT In 2014!
Kenny are makers of high quality MX, Moto trial and MTB Kit. They currently sponsor such riders and Dakar star Cyril Despres, French Downhill legend Cedric Gracia and FMX rider Remi Bizouard, I am very proud to be joining such a great team.
I am currently using clothing and equipment from their 'Performance' and 'UP' MTB ranges as well products from their Motorcycle trial and casual wear ranges.
Please visit www.kenny-racing.com to find out more about them and view their awesome products!
A couple of weeks ago Baselayer sent me some new products for 2014. They sent over the latest version of 2XU'S Baselayer compression tights, I used these throughout 2013 and was very impressed with the quality and the durability of them as well as the obvious performance benefits I found when using them - Personally I found them great when using them during and after a long days riding/competition.They also sent me the 2XU PWX Perform active short sleeve compression Tee. This is something I have been looking for a while and am really looking forward to using it, especially during long summer rides and during hard gym sessions.
"The use of the 2XU® trademark graduated compression fabrication with the unique "Circular Knit" weave ensures the even compression is achieved from the torso through the biceps to maximise venous return. Ideal for extreme gym workouts with high arm usage.Removal of Lactic Acid build up and a reduction is DOMS syndrome (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) from athletic endurance, is as always, a key feature of the 2XU® Performance Compression"
Big thank you to Phil@baselayer for sorting these out for me!
Baselayer have a huge range of products for all sports and the staff are all very knowledgable and helpfull, give them a try at www.baselayer.co.uk

Yesterday I traveled Into central London to Visit the Google/YouTube UK headquarters. I was there to take part in a video shoot and interview for one of my sponsors Bio Synergy, who are launching their new Youtube channel soon.
It was great to visit and film in the Youtube studios, its a really interesting place. Whilst there I had a really nice interview, talking about my career In trials and we also filmed some trials moves on a super slow mo camera, very cool!
Keep an eye out on the Bio synergy website for news of the video and other great things Bio have going on in 2014!
