While I was away at the world championships, an article was published about me in the Kentish express, Kents No.1 and most popular newspaper. Its a great article all about my plans for the world championship and what I have been doing in the recent months.
Very happy to be in this paper, thank you kentish express!

Biketrial World No.10!
I have just returned home from 2 weeks away in the Czech Republic and Spain for the 2011 Bike trial World Championship.
Czech was a brilliant event, lots of support from the local town and a great venue to ride, half based on made man obstacles near the local football club and half further along in a forest. We had dancers, baton twirlers and an orchestra! ( unfortunately I missed the Queen tribute act).
The competition was very good, but on only the second section of the day I broke my rear wheel, luckily I am friends with the owner of a top czech trials shop, Roman Chvojka who had a stand right next to where I was who lent me his rear wheel, so very lucky, but I lost a lot of time meaning I was behind the rest of the elite riders and unable to watch them and see what lines they were taking etc, I also had to skip a lot of sections to make sure in finished within the 6 hour time limit for the competition. I rode very well but i was not happy with my result or score and I finished 12th.
Spain was a complete contrast to czech. The week leading up to the competition had seen a lot of rain and made the venue and competition ( which consisted of mostly muddy banks and streams) not feel like a great place to be! – However we persevered!
The competition was probably the hardest I have ever ridden in. The world champion Dani Comas (6x world champion) who won on the day finished on a total of 80 penalty points out of a maximum of 100. In czech he finished on 1! So it may of been a tad tricky!
I felt i rode ok not bad but not anything too great, but managed to have my best ever World Elite class result of 9th place!
This gave my 10th in the overall series, 1 point behind 9th and 2 points behind 8th.
So I have ended the fortnight very happy and as World Number 10!
Today i have already been booked up to do 11 shows over the next month with MAD, I thought things would be dyeing down!
