I've been a bit lazy recently and haven't updated my site for ages!( Sounds like me)

Well, Two weeks ago i travelled to kortijk in Belgium, with tom rankin and andrei burton, to compete in the first round of the 2008 uci world cup series. At the end of last year i was ranked 23rd in the world cup standings ( even though i was given the no.20 plate in belgium?), so i was aiming to get into the top 25 consistently in 2008, and make some top 20 placings, getting into some semi finals. So far, that hasn't gone to plan. I made a terrible start in belgium, and after the first lap i was very far down the leader board, my second was a lot better, but still nowhere near as good as it could of been. My 3rd started perfect and I thought this was going to make up for my bad start, it didn't, i ended up having a terrible end to the lap, which put me in 17th in qualification, and only the top 10 get through to the semi finals, i was not happy!. Once the overall top 10 rank riders were automatically put into the semi finals, this pushed me down into 27th, not where i wanted to be. This disapointment has helped me in some way, as i am now very focused on my goals and have already seen an improvement in my riding. In Barcelona in april, i will make up for it!!!
