2007 has turned out to be a great year for me. This year was planned to be just a test year to see how i got on on a 26" full time, i had no expectations, and was just going to plod along and see what happend. Good plan i think!, heres a quick review on the 2007 season-

After getting my 26" in December my first competition was an Essex club comp, and i started where i left off, with a 2nd place close behind tom Rankin, it was good to see the change hadn't made me any worse. Before the season really started, myself and pat Donovan went to Spain for 10days, where we trained at sabadell bike park and competed in a  spanish national round, where i finished in 3rd place. For 2007 i was promoted into the master class in the UK, I was really looking forward to the challenge of riding against Britain's best. In the uk national series my highest position was a 3rd, which was one of me years highlights, i had a great ride and i was very proud of getting on the master podium, i finished 4th in the championship, after competing in only 3 out of 6 rounds. In the British championship my highest placing's were two 4th places, and i finished in 5th place overall, 1 point behind 4th place. I felt i had a good national season and i hope to improve on it next year. In June i went to the biu European championship held in slovakia, this was a great event, and a very close one. My first lap didnt go very well, i made a lot of mistakes, but my second lap was perfect, which moved me up into 3rd place, i was really happy with my ride and im proud of my result. In August it was the biu world championships. The first round in the czech republic didnt go too well for me, although i rode ok i only managed 11th place, but at the second and final round in japan i had a great ride to finish in 3rd, and get 3rd in the overall championship, and to top it all off I was promoted into the master category which is a great achievement and privilege. This year i also competed in a few international uci competitions. In the 2 world cups i entered I finished in 22nd and 31st, i also competed in the uci world championships in fort wiliam, where i made the finals and finished in 8th. I finished 2007 ranked number 23 in the world.

I have really enjoyed 2007 and i think i progressed well throughout the year. I would like to thank Matthew Andrews and everyone at tsg and ison , enric at B.E.S.T, adam dave stan and  ali at tartybikes, the crisps, patt Donovan, Joe and everyone at onza and of course mum and dad :)
